Have you ever needed proof (besides tight leg muscles and sweat) that skating is great exercise?


Well, here's a quick tidbit to help you justify your athletic addiction.

According to Fitness-Facts.com, figure skating and speed skating are excellent means of exercise.

While there's no news flash there, I thought you might like to know that our sport has been recognized for cardio-respiratory, aerobic/interval, and anaerobic benefits.

It also ranked well for muscle building, coordination enhancing, and body fat reducing (burning around 400 calories per hour, depending on what kind of skating and level you're participating in.)
