This year's theme, “Double Exposure: The Many Lives of Figure Skaters,” is set to surprise even the most avid figure skating fan.

While tradition has the show kicking off at the famed Olympic Center in Lake Placid, New York, Scott Hamilton will take us where we’ve never been before. During this year’s Smucker’s Stars on Ice tour, champion figure skaters’ personal secrets will be revealed while they skate.

The production staff for SOI’s 21st season is equally stellar. They include: Scott Hamilton, Christopher Dean, Robert D. Kain, Gary V. Swain, Byron Allen, Jef Billings, Cindy Stuart, and Errol Reinart. SOI’s continued support of Boys & Girls Clubs of America through tour proceeds is equally commendable.

Still, it’s the performances we crave. With 40 U.S. arenas on their circuit this year, there are plenty of opportunities to get our fill of spectacular ice skating. Their “sneak peak” performance in Lake Placid on November 25, 2006 at 8:00pm includes two of the biggest names in the sport: Special Guests Ilia Kulik and Kimmie Meissner.
