Can’t wait for the new figure skating season to begin its airtime this October? Whet your appetite for ice stars by watching these irresistible YouTube videos.

Note: While I'm unconvinced of the legality behind these videos, enjoy them on your PC, and we all should be ok.

I recommend buying official videos of favorite ice skating memories whenever possible. They quickly become household treasures. Check out websites, such as StarsOnIce.com or Champions on Ice for sales and show information.

Introducing a New Ice Queen

Mao Asada is finally old enough to compete in the senior ranks on the World scene, and so a star is born. Assuming her artistry has matured as well, she may very well be unbeatable this season. In this news brief, Mao is counted out of the 2006 Olympics because of her age.

Watch her skate at the

Mao wins the Junior World Championship with her history-making triple axel.

Compare it with Midori Ito's triple axel in 1996.
