The Official US Governing Body for Competitive Skating

The USFSA is responsible for selecting skaters to represent the United States in the Olympic Winter Games and international competitions.

Only USFSA members are eligible to qualify for Regionals, Sectionals, Nationals, the Grand Prix Series, Worlds, and the Olympics.

The USFSA provides training money and opportunities for elite athletes, and makes sure all coaches, representatives, judges and athletes follow the rules of theirs organization and the ISU.

Their website lists sanctioned television broadcasts of events in addition to news briefs, bios and pictures. The "Ask Mr. Edge" feature gives expert answers to frequently asked questions from skating members.

USFSA learn-to-skate programs are comprehensive, and include all disciplines of figure skating, and levels, such as novice, junior, and masters level achievement and competitions.
